Bill Crumlic is proud to welcome Sherrina Navani and her "New York Mother" franchise on board as a client of Crumlic Media - Video Production.

Navani produces monthly half hour original programming for her website newyorkmother.com. The goal of her popular website, show and franchise is "Helping to better Mom's life."

Several months ago Crumlic and Navani met during a one time contract shoot he was hired for by her former production company. Although the time was not right for the two forces to come together then, they found a common professionalism and respect for each other and kept in contact. That led to a new opportunity for the two to work on her video productions and a hot new product.

"There are two projects we are working on together including the monthly production of the half hour webisodes." said Crumlic who will be assuming the director and editor responcibilities. "Eventually, we expect that product to find a home on a local television station or network and we will be aggressivly refining the program to that end." he added.

The other project is not yet cleared to be announced but Crumlic assures it is very exciting and he hopes to be able to make it public in a month or two.

Beginning in March the Crumlic Media production "On Point: the Legacy of Jeff Korba" will be available for purchase, digital download and video on demand rental through the online seller Amazon.com. The On Point DVD has been available for online purchase at the film's website since late November of 2009 but expanding to Amazon.com will significantly increase the documentary's exposure and potential sales. In celebration of the new outlet Producer/Director Bill Crumlic has reduced the price for both sale venues.

At Crumlic Media's On Point film website the DVD price has been adjusted to $11.99 plus shipping and handling of $2.95 while supplies last. The Amazon.com price will be $13.99 plus shipping and Handling of $2.98. Buyers can save more than two dollars by purchasing through the official film website www.onpointfilm.com.

Bill Crumlic said, "I see Amazon as a great alternative because they reach so many people through their primary site plus the extras that come along with the deal such as the link to Amazon's Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com) and CreateSpace program."

On Point was granted an IMDb web page in January which has already helped to boost online interest in the independent film which has found a small but dedicated audience on its own site.

Although Amazon takes more than the the majority of the money generated by the sale, they produce the DVD's as people order them so Crumlic Media will not need to keep a large stock of DVD's onhand now that the initial rush of orders from Jeff Korba's friends and family has subsided. Crumlic still has several hundred copies of the DVD on hand but expects that supply to be sold off and depleted through direct sales and while he is on the road promoting the film at various film festivals in 2010. In fact, any time he travels (for any reason) he packs several copies and recently sold a DVD while having a drink at a hotel bar in Pennsylvania.

"I was chatting with the bar manager and the subject of what I do for a living came up. I explained the various elements of Crumlic Media and he was very interested in Jeff's story and asked where he could buy a copy. I dashed up to my room and brought back a copy which he happily purchased. It was a wonderful highlight of my trip that a complete stranger would plunk down cash so quickly!"

Crumlic is using the money generated selling the DVD's to fund the submission fees at the various film festivals and pay off the debt the film accumulated in production.

Two of Bill Crumlic's co-workers from "69 News" in Allentown, Pennsylvania are on assignment in Haiti covering earthquake relief efforts. Reporter Jaccii Farris and Videographer Lee Jenkins were sent to the earthquake ravaged country by WFMZ on Monday to shadow a Lehigh Valley church group and several Lehigh Valley Hospital doctors responding to lend aid. As of today the team has made it as far as Fond Parisien but they are not yet able to enter Port-au-Prince because of the escalating violence there.

"I have a deep respect for Jaccii and Lee and have them in my thoughts and prayers for safe travel and return." Crumlic said. "It is important work they are doing as the world needs to know as much as possible about the human condition in Haiti." he added.

Crumlic has worked with both Farris and Jenkins for more than ten years, first as their Chief Assignment Editor and more recently as peers when Crumlic left the position in 2002 to start Crumlic News Services, now Crumlic Media. Crumlic still often returns to WFMZ as a per diem replacement for videographers and assignment editors and has worked side by side with them. He will again be on assignment with the station January 21st through the 25th replacing Jenkins and covering his normal photog duties.

UPDATE January 25, 2010: Jaccii and Lee returned to the US on Sunday the 24th and were back at work on Monday working to assemble more stories from the massive amount of video and information gathered in Haiti. From all of us a Crumlic Media we wish to welcome our friends home from the important work they were doing.

The well known Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has recognized the Crumlic Media film production "On Point: The Legacy of Jeff Korba" and granted the film a page in the official database.

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) is an online database of information related to movies, actors, television shows, production crew personnel, video games, and most recently, fictional characters featured in visual entertainment media. IMDb launched on October 17, 1990, and in 1998 was acquired by Amazon.com.

Having an official IMDb page helps to legitimize independent film projects by placing them on the largest and most complete record of film, television and published media.

On Point gained the page thanks to it's submission to the New Hope Film Festival and their acceptance of the film for consideration. Currently three other festivals have received the film and are in the review process. One more is planned for certain submission this month and others will follow in the coming months.

On Point: The Legacy of Jeff Korba, Director;s Cut on DVD features more than 30 minutes of previously unseen footage and interviews. The entire documentary was re-mastered with additional material after the June screening at Voorhees High School.

CRUMLIC NEWS SERVICES HAS EVOLVED!

Since the inception of Crumlic News Services back in September of 2002, CNS has grown and evolved from simple freelance spot and assignment TV news video to complete video production and now feature film. Over the past few years it has become apparent that the  change in the company focus and direction was not being accurately reflected in the Crumlic News Services name. The time has come to make changes that will serve the company well into the future of the constantly evolving and changing field of video production and media.

Although our focus is now commercial & event video production, documentaries and film making, we still have roots in and provide our legendary services to television, web, radio and print news. All of the present television news services remain available to current and future news clients. As our stock of professional gear for high level video production continues to expand - news clients will continue to see an even heavier focus on quality of the video news products from us. We will continue to expand  event video, commercial and corporate video production to new levels and provide the exemplary customer service for which the Crumlic name has earned a great reputation.

The past eight years has brought us wonderful clients and projects. In early 2009 we purchased our first HD camera (seen on the title bar of the website) the AG-HVX-200A. This camera is an amazing peice of hardworking professional equipment and a significant step up from our overworked Canon GL2. A Sennheiser wireless microphone kit with both lav and stick mic was added to the equipment package rounding and other equipment was sent to be factory refurbished. We have entered 2010 with a feature film under our belt and the gear to continue our advancement in video production. The future is filled with continuing projects and new projects making it very bright and exciting!

PROJECTS NOW UNDERWAY

Presently, I am working with IrishJacks to produce a series of short film children's stories about the adventures of a group of Irish Jack Russell Terriers. These stories will be told in the fashion of the 1982 movie Homeward Bound.

A second video is nearing completion for Saint Philips Episcopal Church in Manhattan and the coming 2010 season of the Verdi Square Festival of the Arts will soon be upon us with fresh work and videos.

I continue to work with my dear friends David and Amy Stravitz of the eDavid Gallery and Great Notions Corporation and look forward to the next show at their gallery in Bethlehem. Just one block away from the eDavid Gallery is another fabulous client the Historic Hotel Bethlehem with whom we have produced a guest targeted video and two television commercials.

I am thrilled to announce the addition of Agora Gallery in Chelsea to the family of Crumlic Media arts clients. Their first video will be completed in early February and posted on their site and here on the new Crumlic Media site.

I look forward to returning to WFMZ-TV/DT 69 News as a "fill in" photog and Assignment Editor in late January and of course I always enjoy working with my friends at Service Electric Cable TV 2 News when the opportunities present themselves.
